My name is Katie Mahey and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist.
I have training and experience in several different areas of talking therapies, which allows me to tailor my therapy to your needs.
I am also a qualified Registered Nurse and Health Visitor, and I have worked in the NHS and the private sector for over 10 years. Throughout my nursing career, I gained valuable experience from working with individuals and families in traumatic or significant stages of their lives. This experience encouraged me to begin my training as a therapist, and start my own practice.
I studied at the Kent Institute of Clinical Hypnosis with Georgina McKinnon. Hypnotherapy has helped me with areas of my life and now I would like to help you! I work with children and adults, and being a Health Visitor has given me a fantastic foundation to help children and families with issues that they are experiencing; such as anxiety, phobias and fears.
I run a practice in Strood in Kent, and enjoy working with all my clients to empower them in making positive changes in their lives.
I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have a full DBS check. I have professional liability insurance.
