Hypnotherapy is a powerful, effective and rapid form of therapy as it works with the subconscious mind. Using hypnosis and talking therapy, hypnotherapy techniques facilitate the change that you want in the behaviour or feelings you are experiencing. Hypnosis is a completely natural state that we all enter in some part of our day, for example when you are reading a book or watching a film and you are so focussed you don’t hear what is going on around you...that is a hypnotic state. Perhaps sometimes you have driven somewhere and you can’t remember how you got there...another example of an hypnotic state. In an hypnotic state our subconscious mind is more susceptible to suggestion and can take on the realistic, positive suggestion given through therapy.
Hypnotherapy is NHS endorsed and there are no side effects. You are fully in control in therapy and the changes will only work if you want them to work.
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful relaxing experience and can empower you to have freedom from the issues that you feel have been holding you back.
Talking therapy can help to deal with resolving problems that may have built up over a period of time. Therapy is an opportunity for you to be heard and really listened to. It is often difficult to be honest with those close to you, as you may hold back what you really feel or want to say. The therapeutic relationship is for you to feel heard, supported, listened to and accepted for who you are. Talking therapy/psychotherapy sessions are the space for you to explore the areas of your life that you want to look into deeper such as your life today, your past, your memories, your relationships, your future and much more.
I offer short, medium and long term therapy dependant on the needs of the individual. I work with people who are experiencing difficulties with many of life's issues such as anxiety, depression, confidence issues, low self esteem, childhood issues, parent issues, relationship issues and many more. I work in an Integrative way so other forms of therapy and modalities can be used, depending on your needs for a successful therapeutic experience.
